How Many?

 
 

My first and second-grade students love How Many? by Christopher Danielson. They love investigating those beautiful images and finding things to count. This week, during our virtual instruction, I decided to try something out. I took this picture in my littlest daughter’s room and shared it with the kiddos.

I asked them to do two things. Tell me “How Many” they saw in that image, and then find something at their house to arrange, organize, or set up for all of us to answer the same question—“How Many?”

And, of course, their images are amazing in every way. Here’s a small selection of what they sent, and now for your quarantine pleasure…
